Dear Bambi and Geoff,
What a perfect time, everything was perfect! Fantastic food, great sailing and the most gorgeous beaches and underwater adventure anywhere, we could ask no more from a vacation.
You were both so wonderful with Maya, we thank you so much for adapting to her five year old needs and bringing her great enjoyment especially those trips with "Captain Geoff in the "motorboat." (dinghy) It was such fun watching her grow with the two of you.
We truely loved everyday and we can't think of our favourite time because it was all beautiful. What a pleasure to have met you, happy sailing.

But...we have to tell you about our charter on the Alexis. It was incredible! We thank you so much and feel you made the perfect match. Bambi and Geoff were just the best. They were the perfect hosts and made us comfortable from the moment we boarded the Alexis.
They treated us with such warmth,kindness and their hospitality was above and beyond. Of course you have heard I am sure all about Bambi's cooking. Well it is everything everyone says and more and she presents its so effortlessly.They are a wonderful team and it was a pleasure to watch them work so well together and they were always aware of your every need.Their boat the Alexis is a gem in its self. They have designed the boat themselves and the passion and respect they have for sailing was something they truly pass on to their guests.Bambi,Geoff and their boat the Alexis surpassed all our expectations and more.We woke to fresh brewed coffee on the stove and freash made bread served on deck in the morning and went to bed each night after perfect days and a wonderful dinner served by candlelight also on deck.Bambi also managed to coax us with a wonderful surprise dessert each night as well. We were sorry to see our journey end on the Alexis as we were dropped off in Virgin Gorda where we were renting a house with some other friends. We were so privliged to have Bambi as Geoff as our hosts that we invited them to join us for a dinner, served by us and to have a night off. They were again so gracious and we had a great night!
So to end,thank you again for suggesting the Alexis and please feel free to give my name and email to anyone that might like to have a few words about the amazing Geoff and Bambi on the Alexis. It truly was an amazing vacation.

Thank you so much for making our first sailing adventure such a wonderful experience! You hospitality is unmatched. The meals were beyond compare, cannot wait to try the "Alexis" recipes you gave me.
Thank you again for all that you did for us, your kind hearts show through in everything that you do and are an inspiration to us. The gentle sway of the ocean and the warm breezes will linger long in our memories as will the two of you.

California |  |  | | | Dewdney June,2009 | As for our feedback about Alexis and Bambi and Geoff. 6 Stars!!!!!!!! Beyond compare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Alexis was comfortable and spacious and spotlessly clean, and a very comfortable place to call home for a week. Bambi and Geoff, they are fabulous. Fabulous care. Fabulous accomodations. Fabulous Food, oh my goodness the food!!!!!!!!!! Bambi is incredible. She is amazing in her culinary magic, we were so glad that we went with full board, a bargain at twice the price. They are so wonderful and generous, they even provided us an underwater camera to use, and gave us their Conch Shell they had as decor, to take home, because they knew we so desparetly wanted a very nice one. We could not have had better hosts Geoff is so knowledgible of the area and knew where to take us to give us what we were looking for. Both above and below the water line, they had many wonderful surprises to share with us. Such as they knew where to anchor to give us the expreme pleasure and surprise of seeing a sleeping nurse shark and a pair of Queen angel fish that inhabited a particular area. They made us feel super special like we have never felt before. Every possible want or whim was thought of in advance, we were treated like we have never been treated before, it was all about us. (we're ruined) :-) As you said in a prior correspondance, we sincerely do hope to remain friends long into the future and would love to host them sometime here where we live. Everything was beyond expectations and we thank you for giving us the connection to be able to share our lives with two such wonderful people.
We do regret only one thing and that is that there are only so many more years that others may get the same opportunity that we had. To spend a week in paradise with Bambi and Geoff on the Alexis. In life we get to meet alot of people, but only on rare occasion do you get the true luxury of meeting such kind truly warm caring folks such as them.
Thank you once again for the vacation of a lifetime, we do hope to get a group together soon and try to share our experiences with others. We hope to book again soon.

I have been working in the foodservice/hospitality industry of 30 yers and being a supplier to America's longest standing 5 star operation. I know 5 star hospitality when I see it! You both possess 5 star attributes. Hospitality at ts excellence is not something learned, it is a gift. And, you are both truly gifted, from the attention to every detail to attitude to serve and especially to the quality of the foold its ingredients and its presentation.
It does not stop there. What really made our cruise experience over the top is realizing it is not a job for you both but an adventure. What makes people interesting is the story of their lives and your story is adventurous, entertaining and one that we are now a part of and committed to follow!
Thank you for opening our eyes to the wonderful world of sailing. ( I mean that literally) we are now hooked and excited to continue. We can't wait to tell our family and friends and are already looking to book another trip along with some of them.
| | | | | April 2009 | Geoff and Bambi could not have been better hosts. they welcomed us aboard with all of the warmth of old friends. We felt settled in and comfortable almost immediately. The food and drinks were exceptional with Bambi putting her love for cooking into every dish. We went out to dinner one night for a fancy "dress up" meal but soon realized that we had left the best chef and food back on the boat. The company of Geoff and Bambi was great with many interesting stories from their travels. This vacation exceeded any expectations we had by leaps and bounds.
We would certainly encourage others looking for a superb charter with a wonderful casual atmosphere to join Geoff and Bambi on the Alexis. We will be making plans for a return trip if at all possible.

| | | | | September 2009 | Just got home last night from our amazing, wonderful, fantastic, stupendous, awesome anniversary trip!!!! The only bad part is we are home now (happy to see the kids) but paying bills, opening mail, doing laundry, you know, the nuts and bolts of life....
Our yacht charter, from the first day I e-mailed you has been a fantastic experience.
Alexis, you can feel confident recommending them to the president of the United States! They were wonderful!!! I miss them already.
The minute I saw them motor up to Young Island (an amazing place by the way...) and waved to Geoff (I was swimming) and he waved back just as enthusiastic as I was, I knew it was going to be great. Then we met the both of them and they are truly warm, friendly, and put us to ease from the first moment. Both of them really cared about making Gary and I happy and comfortable each and every day of our stay with them on Alexis. They both had a way of reading our minds! I had an idea of what our actual anniversary dinner could be like, and when Bambi on the first day approached that subject with us, it was exactly how I would have wanted it, and the two of them executed it to perfection. Nothing could have been better. It was supposed to be one of our dinners ashore, which it was, but the two of them still worked to make it special for us by making sure we had wine at our lobster picnic, real plates and cutlery, wine glasses, and candles. So it really was not a night off for them. I had also thought that it would be fun to be dropped of at our own private beach for the day with a picnic lunch. Well, low and behold, on our anniversary day after a beautiful and amazing breakfast, Bambi says "how would you two like to be dropped off on a beach (we were in the Tobago Cays)? "Why of course", I said, "you read my mind!!!!" When I asked if we could take a picnic, she said, "oh no, it will get hot...... we will deliver it to you". And you know what they delivered???? A champagne lunch, complete with glasses, table cloth, etc. Amazing!!!!
They had a way with everything. Geoff made sure that we were well taken care of in the liquor department, always a full glass of wine at dinner, gin and tonics whenever we wanted, maggies, whatever, it was there. They had amazing music as well, very low in the backround and always the right mood at the right time. One night, Gary and I were sitting having our wine and we were enjoying the sunset, when all of a sudden the most amazing song came on about being in love and being in paradise!!!!!! I totally started crying (i can get a bit emotional at times....) because it was the most beautiful moment ever!
The boat is beautiful. We had our own "side of the boat" with plenty of room for the two of us and all of our belongings. Bambi keeps things spic and span, always sweeping and making sure our bathroom was in tip top shape, but her housekeeping did not make us feel uncomfortable in any way, she was just doing her thing. Everything on the boat seemed to be well kept up and in tip top working order.
The food. Oh my gosh. We ate, and ate and ate and ate. Babmi is an amazing cook as well as a beautiful food presenter. We both love to eat and appreciate looking at food that looks pretty. Her portions were perfect, not too much, nor too little. She really adhered to our preference list and made food that really pleased us. Every meal (except one appetizer for me) was eaten in its entirety. That is hard to do. Granted, I think that Gary and I are pretty easy going as far as food goes, but to clean our plates at every meal, that says something for the chef.
Well, I am getting very wordy here, as you can tell, we had a super fantastic time and would recommend them to anyone and everyone.
On your survey, you ask what we did not like. Well, there was one thing we did not like and that was getting off of the boat. We hated to leave!!!!! Even then, when we got to Palm Island (a great place as well), they could have anchored, dumped our luggage in the dingy and taken us ashore, but no..... we get there and Bambi offers us a last glass of wine! I told her that I would have a glass if she had one with us, and she stated "of course"!
I will hold this trip close to my heart for a long time as it was an experience of a lifetime.

We came from Suomi, Finland - 27 degrees c to Tortolla, BVI +27 degrees c
We got married and made decision to have our honeymoon in the BVI's on Alexis with Bambi and Geoff not knowing what to expect. We had never before sailed. We felt relaxed already on our first evening when we got a chance to taste Bambi's great food for the first time. Listen to all the island stories from Geoff, also the interesting information about the culture in South Africa.
The time has gone too fast. We did'nt expect so good service, nice snorkelings, exciting sailing experiences and great relief from pain! ( Geoff's Painkillers!) And, we certainly did not expect Bambi to make delicious bread by herself in the boat!! We will be back!!!!

Judging by what I've read in this comment book everyone loves you as much as we do. It was by far the best vacation we've ever had. The food...... was beyond excellent, presentation and taste alike! The island and the snorkeling were ideal, we hae never seen so many wonderful fish.
The accomodations were pristine and very comfortable. I don't know if you two had a hand in the weather but that was just about perfect too. BUT, best of all you two were the BEST. You definitely made the vacation. You have become friends and I hope we will keep in touch. We'll gladly do another charter but please come visit us too, anytime.
