Perfect, Best crew you could imagine. Both did everything possible to make this an unforgettable trip. Definitely exceeded our expectations - big time! They did an excellent job to read our wishes and went out of their way to make it a very enjoyable time for us. Both are very professional, it shows that they have a lot of charter experience. Thanks to Eric I am now hooked on Vanilla Ice coffee in the mornings and could not imagine another sailing tour without it.
Nearly like a first class restaurant. Couldn't be any better on a sailboat.
We already had some good information about the yacht and she definitely exceeded our expectations, very well maintained and in excellent condition.
Actually Eric totally surprised us with all the toys he had available for us. He even had more then we could handle. Definitely enough to choose from. Most of the toys he had were brand new and we sure had a great time using them. His dinghy is powerful enough to even pull out a slalom skier with 4 people in the boat. I was very impressed.
Everything a 10 !!
Eric had everything very well organized and it was First Class.
The Caribbean Islands are just wonderful and besides in Trinidad people were very nice and friendly.
Eric did everything possible to give us an awesome vacation which we will never forget!
Couldn't find a more knowledgeable skipper, knows the area we sailed like the back of his hand. It shows that he has lived on his yacht for more than a decade.

Exactly what our family needed!
We had an awesome time and Eric and Evelyn were a great fit for us. I think we made Eric get out every piece of equipment he had on the boat.

The Aloha Malolo was probably . I think we were well prepared and Eric and Evelyn did everything they could to make our trip memorable and pleasant. The sailing was incredible. The fact that Eric could plan a route that allowed us to sail a bit each day, scuba dive or snorkel, look for treasure and seashells, and then keep us out of the swells at night was evident of his experience as a captain. We can’t think of another way we could have done all the things we were dreaming of. We even managed to catch a fish that Evelyn made into a couple of excellent meals

Our favorite story would be about Eric letting our crew who were learning sailing skills “go it alone” and try to sail from the Indians to Willy T’s. It was about 2 hours of me laughing down in the hull while I watched and listened to my family keep themselves occupied by going almost nowhere. Bruce made a diagram in one of our memory books which showed the Aloha, the Indians and Willly T’s with a very, very wiggly route in between. The “sailors” loved sailing and mooring and jibing and tacking and saving life preservers.

The highlights were:
1) The Indians (again)
2) Eric’s French Press coffee (just my opinion)
3) Adam’s Fish
4) Sailing at 13 knots
5) Eric’s blender drinks
6) Evelyn’s tiramisu
7) Scuba diving 4 sites
8) Richard Branson’s Island
9) Only going through 2 tablets of Pepto and 3 of Dramamine (we have 18 scopolamine patches that were never used)
10) Salty Dog
11) Minimal sunburn J

The Hotel you suggested for one night was also a big hit. I have 5 athletic kids that have a lot more respect for surfing than they did before trying it for an hour or two. The future son-in-laws were amazed that “I” could coordinate all those arrangements, so thank you for making me look good J!

We do realize that we were a big group and we are appreciative of Eric’s willingness to take us on!”

Dear Evelin, Eric and Salty Dog!
Thank you so much for our favorite vacation yet! We had so much fun sailing around visiting different islands! Our favorite island was Norman Island where we found the best snorkelling with crystal clear blue water and many colourful fish to watch. Another bonus at Norman Island was Evelin's delicious chocolate birthday cake that she whipped up for Karlee's birthday. Salty dog really put a smile on everyone's face when she swam for hours and constantly searched for fish.
This year, Easter happened to land on our vacation, and we discovered the Easter Bunny can swim! He hid chocolate around the boat and left each of the girls a basket! ;) At night, our favorite activity was playing Mexican Choo Choo Dominos with Eric and Evelin! Even though Eric won the majority of the time, and Evelin tried to hide her dominos, it was always something we looked forward to! There were so many highlights on our trip, we can't fit it all into one comment! We hope to return to the Aloha Malolo very soon and sail down the Panama canal and around the area! We talk about how much fun we had every single day! Thank you so much for our wonderful, memorable experience we will never forget! Give Salty Dog a kiss from us! 8 Week, 8 Guest World Cricket Cup Charter
Our first impression was what a big comfortable luxurious boat we had chartered for eight weeks, nine islands and about 2000 miles!
Lorraine says that aboard Aloha Malolo it is the most relaxed that she has ever seen Neil in eleven years.
Lorraine woke up in the middle of the night dreaming about one of Captain Eric's chocolate milkshakes, Pigeon likes the coffee ones and Evelin can't decide if she likes the banana or peanut butter shakes best.
Donna and Adie said that they will not forget for as long as they live, the dolphins swimming at the bow at night in phosphorescent plankton rich water. They glowed as if lit up by an internal Christmas tree.
Martin spent the night on fellow Cricketers 48' catamaran and remarked that Aloha Malolo was more comfortable at anchor and that he had a better sleep.
Martin, Neil, Pigeon and Rosie caught Tuna, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Mackerel and many Snapper. It is because of them that we had sushi on the table and fish on the barbie, mate.
Too many water toys to use in eight weeks and still see all of the Cricket matches but we had a go at a few on offer.
We got to go to all of the places we picked from the chart including the East Coast of Antigua where Don Street, the author of Street's Guide to the Caribbean for thirty years says; "is the most dangerous and reef strewn area in the Caribbean". Each of us that "wanted" to, got to go up the mast to the first spreader for a better view to pick our way through the reefs as we wound our way through the beautiful coral heads in crystal clear water. It was an incredible adventure and no paint went missing from the hull.
Thanks to Capt'n Eric for picking us up no matter how late we stayed out celebrating all of Australia's cricket successes...Arrrgh matey.
While everyone had a special focus, I think that is was unanimous that Evelin's appetizers were a hit and Salty was the favorite crew member and kept all of us smiling.
ASA Down Island Family Sailing Certification

"We all had a great time and learned a lot. The bigger boat was challenging to sail but added to the overall experience. My 20 year old son thought the experience was one for a “lifetime”. Eric was an excellent teacher and was very accommodating. - Jim M. family, Texas, August 2007, Grenadines, Caribbean

Dear Eric,
I never thought I could enjoy sailing as much as my dad wanted me to, but that all changed once I boarded the Aloha Malolo. Captain Eric and Evelyn both made me feel right at home from the moment I stepped on board. What was great was the relaxed feeling that was emitted from the sound of the ocean and the personality of Eric. I never felt pressured to learn how to sail, but simply was freed to learn it at my own pace and at my own convenience. Of course it also helped that I was able to hone in on my wake-baording and swimming skills but that was besides the point; after long days of fun and the consequent exhaustion, I was quickly replentished with some of Evelyn's great food that filled me up and satisfied me almost simulatenously as my hunger began. I don't have any complaints about the accomodations nor the sleeping quarters, and I absolutely love dogs, so having Salty Dog aboard made sea-life fun and additionally enjoyable. The sights were fantastic and the water was as crystal blue as I have ever seen. Being aboard the Aloha Malolo has instilled an urning to return the eastern Carribean and again sail with the wind at my back!
Thanks again for the awesome trip!!!

Wow…what a great time we had. I wanted to thank you for being such a great host and working tirelessly to make our trip the best it can be. You and Evelyn are delightful to say the least!!! You both really made our trip. I can say living on a boat can certainly be close quarters but the 2 of you really made it nice. We felt like we were sailing with good friends and not 2 people we just met. Evelyn is just as sweet and can be and her cooking was great!! Also we appreciate you flexibility. What ever we wanted to do you were up for, from early morning sailing to sunset sails it didn't matter.

Thanks again and we look forward to seeing you both again!! Hope you don't miss us too much!

Regards,

Jason

Eric
We had a wonderful trip though it would have been nice to dive and snorkle more. Maybe next time. But the weather was perfect, the sailing wonderful and the host and hostess superb. And of course the food was DELICIOUS. I was proud of myself for only gaining 2 pounds! It could have been so much more with all the YUMMY food!
The boys and Heidi had a great time with the skiing/ knee boarding etc.

I want you to be looking in your mail in a week or two for a package from us. A thank you and late Christmas gift for all 3 of you.

We were serious about the visit to Virginia. Totally different from your boat and you'll have to leave your sea legs behind, but just as relaxing in its own way. We have a guest house/ log cabin overlooking a pond and would love for you to come for a visit. Maybe we will make another sailing trip sometime. Its always nice to leave the cold behind in the winter and enjoy the sun and warm water.

Thanks again for being such a good host and hostess on our trip.

Sincerely,
Kim
San Blas Honeymoon
Heather and I looked into many vacation ideas for our honeymoon and we are really pleased that we chose to spend a week sailing and exploring
with Captain Eric onboard Aloha Malolo.
Part of the fun, especially for Heather, is the planning of any trip and we felt Captain Eric listened to what we wanted and that our wishes
were always welcomed and accommodated.
We wanted an active adventure type of trip and I feel that Eric really made an effort to accommodate this and gave us that kind of trip. He even organised an overnight canoeing trip where we REALLY got off the beaten path and were able to meet and stay with the Locals, thereby getting a flavor of the local culture and history. We felt there was always plenty to do, whether it was private shopping with the locals to "surfing" behind the outboard or snokeling in the beautiful Caribbean Sea.
Aloha Malolo seems to be an incredibly strong and confidence inspiring sailboat and we enjoyed helping out as crew when we wanted to, even steering and navigating while underway. We felt included and comfortable with our experience from the minute we were welcomed aboard to the last good byes were spoken.
We have many special memories from our time aboard and we look forward to the time when our new babies are old enough so that we can return
for another sail on Aloha Malolo!
