All of the advertised toys were available.
Everything worked throughout the charter no unexpected surprises.
The crew made the difference on this trip,food was terrific,they were very accomodating and helpful with their suggestions.
Food and Drinks were first class.
For the most part we were involved in the planning of the day's itinerary. We established a routine fairly quickly.
What we liked most about our chater was the Crew and flexibility.
If I wanted to be picky, I would ask for a larger TV to watch movies. There isn't much I would change.
On a scale of 1-10 I rate the Captain Cook and overall satsfaction a 10!
The crew were just terrfic and accomodating. I would find it difficult doing this with anyone else. Good conversation and lots of laughs.
I would recommend thi yacht to my friends and would charter this yacht myself again.
We stayed in San Juan, when we do it again we will stay in the BVI. We will definately charter again. | | | | | Burbink charter | Just got my follow up back from Chad Burbrink. I will mail a copy but couldn't wait to at least provide a summary. He said you guys really sucked. Yes, we all had a great time on the Blithe Spirit. Dominique and Michel were wonderful hosts. The boat was great, food wonderful and the BVI's fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire trip. Dominique and Michel were very attentive without being intrusive. Not knowing what all there was to do, they made excellent suggestions and were great guides. Michel arranged a scuba dive that I will always remember. Michel even tolerated me "helping" setting sail and taking the helm. I felt that if we had wanted to do anything in particular we would have been accommodated but we let them show us the BEVY and were never disappointed.
Thanks for all your help in arranging a vacation we will always remember...I still find myself smiling over some thought of that week.

Did the crew live up to your expectations? Were they attentive and accommodating? They were much better than our expectations. They were extremely attentive and accommodating. They were a very professional, great crew.
How would you describe the food and drinks? As advertised everything was great we had enough of everything.
Were you involved in planning the day's itinerary? Yes, we told them what we wanted and they made sure it happened.
What did you like most about your charter? It allowed us to do what we wanted when we wanted
What did you like least about your charter? Getting out of the water, which required climbing the ladder, unlike some boats where the back is closer to the water.

Please share any additional comments about this yacht and crew: We had a wonderful time on Blithe Spirit and it was mostly because of Michel and Dominique. They were a great pair - very friendly but professional. The meals and presentation were outstanding, it’s what you would expect in fine restaurants. We are still amazed that the dinners we had were prepared in such a small kitchen. I had the opportunity to sail the yacht two days, under the watchful eye of Michel, I was just like a little kid with a new toy, grinning from ear to ear.
Would you recommend this yacht and crew to your friends? I would highly recommend Blithe Spirit - everything was great, especially the gourmet food.
Would you charter this yacht and crew again yourselves? YES. The next time I would do different sailing locations other than BVI.
If not, what would you look for in your next charter that would be different? I still want to charter a catamaran just to see the difference between ships. I also plan to chart a motor Yacht again to see the difference between ships.
Was the boat what you expected? Yes
Were our descriptions of yacht and crew fair and accurate? What could we have changed or emphasized more? They were right on, the food was excellent they both were excellent chefs
How could we [Broker] improve our service to you. Were any questions left unanswered, or was any information left out that would have been helpful to you? Everything was fine I can't think of anything that you could have done differently.

Yes we had a wonderful time thank you. Blithe Spirit was all we hoped and more and as it was quite windy towards the end of the week, some of the sailing was more spirited than Blithe!! It was a revelation for us to be beating into 32 knots of wind at 11 knots in shorts and T shirts. We dread going back to our boat in our thermal underwear and oilies. (My wife also wants to know where we can fit a bath!) Blithe Spirit is exceptionally comfortable and roomy and we have no negative comments at all.
Michel and Dominique were a great pair - very friendly but professional , we thought that they got the balance for the 'service' just right and there was never any feeling of awkwardness. The food was great - very interesting and produced in an extremely polished manner. Dominique had also gone to great trouble to ensure that there was nothing on board to which our son would be allergic. They are obviously very proud of their home and are very careful seamen. All boat handling was done in a very calm quiet way which was in stark contrast to some of the antics of bareboats which we witnessed. If you had clients who hadn't sailed before then Blithe Spirit would be an excellent boat for them.
Of the toys we only used the kayak on a couple of occasions and didn't use the windsurfer at all. The snorkeling gear was all in very good condition and Michel was an excellent guide. Our favorite toy was the double hammock on the foredeck - sailing whilst lying in a hammock with a glass of icily chilled white wine in your hand is something for which we would like to develop a habit.
For your information Lambert Beach resort is a great location - its very quiet and rather eccentrically run - if indeed it is run, but it is a great place to chill out. I think next time we would miss out on the hotel and head straight for the boat.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! The trip was wonderful and you and Michel are terrific . I cannot imagine a better vacation ! We came back to Charlottesville with the temperature in the 50's and a cold rain -but that is OK because we desperately needed the rain here as we have had a drought for the past two months . Nonetheless , it was not only a temperature shock but a culture shock . In particular Mike, Laura and I came back to house with an empty refrigerator and no expectation that we would ever again experience cuisine as you prepared for us . We miss you and the Blithe Spirit desperately and would return tomorrow if we could . In any case, the kids will be thrilled that you sent us the email and I will make sure that I forward your e-mail address to them.
Good luck with the rest of your charters and I desperately hope that your future guests do better with the French language that I did. If you get a chance please drop us a note about things in the Virgin Islands and your future guests. I particularly want to know about any guests who are more eccentric than I am. Also good luck with your plans to go to the Mediterranean. One of my fantasies is that we may have opportunity to charter your boat there in the future.

went way beyond our expectations. Being this was the first time we ever
went on this type of vacation chartering a boat, we were very novice to the
experience. Dominique and Michel were wonderful and by the end of the
vacation we all felt like family. Their extensive experience sailing really
let us feel secure that we were in good hands. They also knew exactly where to go and what to see. Michel was the perfect guide and made the sailing, sightseeing, exploring and snorkeling top notch. Our itinerary was perfect.
The food was superb and we could not have asked for any improvement.
Dominique is a chef extraordinaire. We found ourselves completely losing
track of days and time. We were sad to have our vacation come to an end. And this of course is a sign of the perfect escape to paradise. We definitely
will go on this type of vacation again. Hopefully we will charter again with
Dominique and Michel. We plan to keep in touch and have invited them
anytime to visit us in New Hampshire. We have already recommended Blithe Spirit to others who also are looking for this perfect vacation experience.

| | | | | Our week on the Blithe Spirit II | After months of planning and dreaming, we selected the Blithe Spirit II with the help of [our Broker] This boat seemed to fit our needs and sounded interesting. We were all interested in sailing since we had sailing boats of our own which we sailed on Nebraska lakes, so our expectations were high. We didn’t really know what we were getting ourselves into since none of us had ever taken a vacation such as this, but we could only hope it would be everything the brochures made it out to be.
From the moment we got on our boat all of our worries were over. We were instantly made to feel welcome by the warm greeting and great smiles of our crew, Michel and Dominique. We were given a tour of the boat and immediately sat down to a great pasta salad lunch. We soon were under way to see the beauty of the Virgin Islands, mainly the British Virgin Islands.
Michel was eager to please and was always checking to see what our wishes were for the day. He knew where to find the best places to spend the day snorkeling, kayaking, wind surfing, exploring beautiful islands or just relaxing on a quiet beach (with a great lunch brought to us by Dominique). He also took us to the calmest and prettiest bays of the islands when it was time to anchor for the night. We were never left alone with equipment we weren’t familiar or comfortable with. Michel instructed us and stayed with us to ensure our safety. He even dragged two floating rafts with him when we went snorkeling for us women to lay on periodically as we got tired. I think we were the only two women in the entire sea who were pulled along on floating rafts. We felt like ladies of luxury!
The food was another highlight of the week. We had asked for a variety and did we get a variety! Every meal was something new and wonderful. We were never disappointed. We had such dishes as Quiche Lorraine, grilled fish in great sauces, beautifully prepared sushi, flaming deserts and great late afternoon snacks with a drink of our choice. We would have never guessed that a sailboat galley would allow for such great food, but Dominique made it look easy.
We spent the evenings either at a local night spot ashore or on the boat looking at the stars and listening to great music, playing board games in the comfortable covered deck, or listening to our crew tell about the Islands and their culture. This was certainly a week that we will always remember. Thank you Michel and Dominique!

He was very flexible and willing to go wherever we wanted. He knew all the good snorkeling places and went with us. He let us sail whenever we wanted. We learned a lot and participated in sailing. We cannot stress how wonderful Dominique & Michel were as hosts! they over extended themselves to make sure we were happy. They are by far superior to any host we have ever encountered. Very Flexible. The boat is very roomy and functional totally self sustaining; we did not have to stop anywhere for anything lacking (amazing for a 10 day trip)
we sailed as much as we wanted, they would not hesitate to raise the sails even for a short jaunt. Fabulous, just fabulous, we are just sorry it had to end
dominique is incredible, her cooking is fantastic excellent presentation and taste, a feast for the eyes and some of the best food ever
