Ken and I have just returned from our Caribbean vacation aboard Dream.  On the reverse is response to your questionnaire, but our experience was so delightful that I felt it necessary to elaborate upon what makes the Dream charter so special.

Ken and I have ample charter experience (albeit only with a captain, and never a cook). Our charter aboard Dream was hands above any previous experience we’ve ever had, due in greatest part to the professionalism demonstrated by Eddy & Pia Kieger.

Eddy is an accomplished skipper and with a first-mate like Pia the sailing experience was a delight. In tandem, they manage the craft deftly. As sailors ourselves, it was a pleasure to watch two people so expertly handle a boat. We relied entirely upon their experience to chart a course, and we were very satisfied with the island tour and the stops made along the way.  The wind was in our favor for the entire trip, and the sails were up at every possible turn. It has not always been our experience that a skipper enjoys the fun (and work) of sailing.  During our cruise, in fact, we saw numerous sailing yachts motoring in conditions that were perfect for sailing (what a shame!)

Dream is a spotless boat, extremely well-maintained in every way. During brief excursions on shore, Pia always readied the craft with fresh towels, linens, etc. – as close to five-star hotel service as one can receive aboard a sailboat.  The cuisine was beyond compare.  Ken and I constantly marveled at the creations which Pia was able to produce in the galley.  The ingredients were fresh and of high quality, and her cooking and presentation skills extraordinary. We have never, in one week, sampled such fine cuisine – from red caviar and mushroom pate to mahi-mahi, shrimp creole and filet.  Not to mention the gourmet desserts every evening, and fresh-baked breads each morning.  Ken gained 11 pounds during the trip; I was lucky, and only gained five  – but worth every pound!

Every effort was made to ensure that we were happy and satisfied. The Dream crew also offers some very special “value-added” amenities, such as use of a digital camera and presentation of a CD which contained memories from the entire trip.  We returned home with a CD consisting of about 700 photographs!!

I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend Dream to any guests in search of an island vacation. Thank you for all of your help, and recommending such a Dreamy yacht.

 I wanted to write to you to express my gratitude for your help in organizing our vacation on sailing yacht Dream.  I also would like to share with you a few of the reasons that it truly was a very special trip. 

When you and I first spoke, I was unsure that a sailing vacation would be appropriate for my nine year old daughter.  You assured me that sailing the Virgin Islands would be a special trip for any young girl and her father.  I put my trust in you and I am so glad that I did.  From that point on you made yourself available to me whenever I called, or your responded to my messages immediately.  You were also extremely  knowledgeable and  helpful to me in my planning.    Finally, you recommended the sailing yacht Dream and the crew, Eddie and Pia.  You put your trust in them at that point and you should feel very confidant in doing so again. 

The boat, “Dream” was beautiful and it was comfortable for all six of us.  Eddie and Pia were delightful, even as they worked from the first light in the morning until lights out at night.   They guided us to beautiful places we never would have selected on our own.  We snorkeled at beautiful spots literally morning, noon, and night.  We visited amazing little resorts and crazy beach bars.   We saw phenomenal sunsets every night and sunrises every morning.  Eddie worked for two days to organize the 521 pictures we took on 3 digital cameras onto a single CD to preserve the memory for all of us. 

And then there was the food.  Pia was amazing.  She prepared full breakfasts, wonderful salads for lunch, appetizers, a three-course meal and dessert every night.   There was an excellent wine list.  Pia also prepared a separate dinner for my young daughter and niece every night.  So while we had swordfish or lamb, they had homemade pizza or chicken and rice.  We joked that we were not worthy of such treatment. 

None of us will ever forget our Dream vacation.  The beautiful sunsets, incredible islands all around us.  The mouthwatering smells coming from the galley.  Eddie rising from the galley with a big smile and a tray full of food.   The world class snorkeling.  Seeing our daughters have so much fun.  Mostly though, we will ever forget Eddie and Pia.  It was as if we had known them all our lives.

Thanks again to you for a job very well done.  I’ll talk to you soon about my next adventure.

Aboard Dream

"Dear Pia & Eddy: Nancy and I have returned from a most delightful weeklong sail with you in the US & British Virgin Islands. Words cannot express the degree of enjoyment and relaxation, which resulted from our sailing vacation with you last week. Within moments of the time which we met you on the dock, I felt very much "at home" on your home, DREAM...The beauty of the Islands and the water helped further to relieve us the stress we left back in New Jersey. This was especially nice, since this was our second sailing trip in the Virgin Islands, and since this time we brought our friends, Sandy & Michael, to share our enjoyment of sailing.

 Eddy, your skills and experience with sailing, along with your natural and relaxed personality made us feel secure "at sea"... Pia, it was very gracious of you to accept us into your home for our sailing vacation... The meals you prepared were very special, being both "gourmet" and nutritious (how do you do that in such a small galley?). In a most unassuming way, the boat was always kept tidy and well organized. Thank you again for the wonderful, relaxed week sailing aboard DREAM. We wish you the best and hope to sail with you again in the future. Of course if you find yourself in New Jersey, we would love to invite you to our home. You are most welcome at any time.

Rachel, Grey and I are now back home after a wonderful vacation on Dream. Thank you for your excellent recommendation; the yacht and the crew were exactly what we were looking for. We had a very full itinerary, visiting many of the islands, having our New Year’s Eve celebration at Foxy’s on Jost Van Dyke, and spending two days diving. Eddy and Pia are a very experienced, accommodating, helpful and happy crew and managed to fit everything in, together with some excellent sailing. Pia’s cuisine was wonderful – every meal was a delight! The accommodation on board Dream was perfect for our group; the yacht is beautifully maintained and the aft cabin is especially spacious.

First, thank you for the champagne. We quickly finished that as soon as we got on board.

Second, I can't thank you enough- for helping us with this trip. I can't even put into words how wonderful this trip was for all of us.

Pia and Eddy were great! We thoroughly enjoyed having so many conversations about so many different things. The food was fabulous -  Pia outdid herself. I really can't say anything else except we wouldn't change a thing or have done anything differently.

It was perfect!!!!!!

A Christmas trip we will NEVER forget! These are the kind of memories I long for. The family has enjoyed the islands, water, sun, food, snorkeling & crew very much. It is everything I had hoped for. The kids seem relaxed and very happy with our destinations. We as well.

The only thing I would change is our stay, make it longer! This has been so relaxing and very enjoyable having this time with our family. I can't remember a time all 5 of us have been together like this since they left for college in 2000 and 2002!

Thank you for a lovely vacation. I can only Dream that we will be back fo a longer sail. Everything is what I had hoped for. Thank you for sharing the hammock!  I really enjoyed my quiet time, oh, and the dates. They were delicious. Merry Christmas,  Love Beth XOXO & Randy
