| GUESTS COMMENTS | | Rick and Elsie | Sailing Godiva as I wanted - thrills a minute, as she sliced along at 10+ knots on a strong wind - hitting 14 knots on the gusts, all the while staying level and keeping the crew dry.
Chef Marci’s flair for unique dishes guaranteed superb and well-presented meals with local island produce, meats, and spices, and Captain Dave’s expertise using the “real charcoal” grill added the ambiance of the real cruising lifestyle.
Some evenings, Cap’n Dave strummed the guitar and surprised us with his repertoire of fun, sing along, “margarita-style” island songs—the next American Idol!
After unpacking our gear into our cabin, we relaxed and the fun began: We dove behind the boat for a swim and cocktails. After showers and a scrumptious dinner, our day ended with sound sleep while gently floating in our starry anchorage. Finally, away from everyday stress!
We liked not having to plan our meals or what to do each day. Dave and Marci prepared an agenda to meet our desires. We enjoyed water activities, sailing, and shore-side tours, dining, and shopping. We always felt safe with Dave and Marci as our knowledgeable local guides.
We ate healthier—upon returning home, clothes fit better, and we looked relaxed.

Dave and Marci were incredible. Two delightful, charming and different people - personalities who catered to everyone as a unique person. I must add that Dave’s live performances on the guitar every night was a treat we never expected and went well beyond the call of duty.
The meals: You won't find better in any 5 star restaurant. Marci catered to each person's preferences at every meal - homemade, healthy food, beautiful presentation, amazing hors d'oeuvres, fabulous desserts, elegant table settings, extensive wine and rum list - wonderful combinations. Whatever you wanted Dave and Marci would deliver it.
We chartered in Guadeloupe. Guadeloupe is a spectacular island. Dave and Marci knew all the best spots. We had 5 nights at 5 different locations all spectacular and very private. I hope to return to Godiva again sometime soon. Great time, great memories and now life long friends!

| | | | | Trudy | My first visit to the Caribbean was aboard a major cruise ship. I shopped by day and partied by night ... fun things, but nothing that I had to leave home to experience.
My trip aboard Godiva was a hands-on adventure of 23 things I'd never experienced before....new foods, reading navigation lights and markers, telling time on a ship's clock, seeing flying fish and seeing stars that aren't visible in a Chicago sky; shore excursions to the rain forest, witnessing sugar cane turn into rum, bananas still on the tree, snorkeling, to name a few. Dave and Marci are fabulous hosts and teachers; their passion for the Caribbean will be contagious!
If you stay at a Caribbean resort or take a cruise, you'll be a tourist. If you vacation aboard Godiva, you'll experience Caribbean life through the eyes of Dave and Marci who know and dearly love the area. You're going to learn a lot and you're going to love it.
