| GUESTS COMMENTS | | Wei Charter | Hi Gordon, Sandy, and Jacques,
It was so great to hear from you. All last week I wanted to write but I was in a bit of a fog just recovering from the trip. We're still trying to adjust to not being on the boat anymore. The shower seemed way too big for just one person! Benji couldn't make water under his bed at home! The food just didn't taste as good. There were no wonderful drinks to look forward to before dinner, and, of course, we missed your company!
Our trip home was a bit rough. Actually it got off to a good start. We had a wonderful taxi driver (I saved his business card for you Gordon). He watched our bags so we could shop around in St. Thomas. He was concerned about us staying too long given it was a Saturday and he said the airport would be very crowded so we only spent about 45 minutes shopping. I suppose Nathan thought that was a good thing. There wasn't time to do very much damage! When we arrived at the airport we found out our flight was more than two hours late. For a time, we heard rumors that the flight was going to be cancelled and we'd have to go back the next day. We kept thinking we'd rush back to Red Hook and flag you down! As it turned out we did leave after several hours. Unfortunately, Becky missed her connection at Dulles and then missed the last flight of the day to Boston so she had to stay overnight in a hotel (at United's expense of course).
We've been talking about the three of you and the trip every day since we got home. We hope your next charter went well though the kids were worried that you might like the next group more than us. They hoped that wouldn't be the case. When is your next trip?
Gordon, thanks so much for the pictures you sent. I've added them to my collection. I have put our pictures on the website shutterfly. I'm going to forward the link to the three of you directly from the website. I don't think you can print from that website because they want you to order from them instead. If there are any pictures in particular that you'd like to have, let me know and I'll just email those to you. Otherwise, it would be too time consuming to send all 150 pictures as attachments. (Maybe it would crash the computer! – I'm not very good at this.)
I heard back from "the broker" and she wants to know how everything went. I will send her a full report in the next day or so. And of course, we've been telling all our friends about the trip. Who knows, maybe some of our friends will join you sometime. In any case, we really hope we can do it again. Keep us in mind if you think of any trips that you think we might enjoy. Nathan called the week a once in a lifetime trip, but I'm hoping it's not just once.
Happy New Year to the three of you and please stay in touch!
Judy (Nathan, Becky, Jeffrey, Benji and of course Emily too!)

Hi There,
What a nice surprise to receive your note. I’m glad you had my work email. I’ll enter you into my address book at home. I’ve been bombarded with spam at home and my filter setting is on the highest. That bounced you back.
We are all settling back into our routine at home, except for Isobel who has two more weeks of break. The scenery and weather here don’t compare, but it’s sunny and spring is around the corner. Temps in the a.m. are just above freezing and reached the upper 40’s yesterday. There’s still quite a bit of snow around, however.
I’ve been raving to everyone about our wonderful trip, the fabulous cuisine, and of course the crew. We couldn’t have been happier. Thank you again, all of you, for making it so enjoyable. I hope you are all getting some down time and enjoying your break. Happy trails.
All the best,June

We can't thank you enough for all you did to make our family vacation enjoyable and relaxing. Accommodating five strangers in your floating home for seven days requires a special talent. You were all wonderful to be around and always out going and cheerful. Our only regret was the lack of wind, but all of you more than made up for this. The swimming, beaches, water skiing, kayaking and windsurfing were great fun for all.
We wish you all the very best and continued success. We will send the Black Dog T-Shirts and some photos soon.
Warm regards,Andrew Flake | | | | | Fowler charter | Dear Captain Gordon, What a great trip the Georgia Boys had this past week. Beginning with the 15 hour voyage, “slightly bumpy” trip from St. Martin and ending with dinner at Canal Bay. For this memorable trip, I thank you.
Don't know how the South Africa to Brunswick, Ga. trip will materialize, it all depends in time, money, and the desire of those I would to come. Hopefully it will materialize as time moves on.
Thanks again, Rob Fowler | | | | | Warner charter | We had a wonderful time. Thank you all for taking such good care of us. We will certainly have to return for the goat and Miller lite beer ! Something to look forward to. We are already calling air lines for possible routes further south. We will keep you posted on our progress. I haven't e-mailed [Broker] to officially declare our delight aboard the "Liberte" but will soon do so, I will keep in touch. Everyone take care and live well.
Sincerely, Lisa, Peter, Stephanie and Warner | | | | | Wendy | Thank you for a lovely ten days. We all enjoyed ourselves tremendously and thank you for your warm hospitality. The children are all back at school. Chad and I are leaving tomorrow for Wyoming where he'll have surgery on his knee. Hopefully he'll be fully recovered before race season starts up here. Keep in touch... maybe our boats will cross paths next year. Until then... we'll remember the beautiful harbors, snorkeling, mastering windsurfing, sailing and the wonderful meals.
Best wishes Wendy | | | | | Foldats charter |
"We could not imagine a better crew. Skipper Gordon - professional, knowledgeable, relaxed, accommodating. Chef Jan, ditto - she's not a cook, she's a Chef - rave reviews at every meal. It wasn't a case of 'she did well despite the small galley', it was a case of 'I challenge any Chef to match her meals, regardless of the equipment'. We all eat fish often, but have never seen such perfection - Jan ought to open her own place. And it wasn't just the fish - everything else was wonderful. First Mate Paul - a treat; this young man has a future. Witty, fun-loving, skilled - he was able to melt our northern reserve and get us up "jammin" the island way. So what did we think of the crew?
Faultless - let's do it again!

"I wanted to let you know that I found my island-hopping experience an unbelievably fun and rewarding experience. This was possible because the crew, Gordon, Jan and Paul extended themselves in service, expertise and, most importantly, in friendship and camaraderie - they really made us feel like friends and fellow travelers, as well as guests for every meal, every anchorage and every sail. Each day was jam-packed and fun-filled as we sailed St Vincent and the Grenadines and I have become completely enchanted with the islands and the cruising life. Please extend my greetings to Gordon, Jan and Paul and tell them I loved the cruise and WILL BE BACK". | | | | | Brooke charter | "Our new friends,
Words cannot express our gratitude for making this very special time in our lives unforgettable. With that being said, lets hope that real life continues to be funnier than fiction and that there is never a shortage of dinghy hungry barracudas or miniature clay ducks!(these are referances to some onboard stories and happenings)
Thanks for opening our eyes to the beauty of the Islands. We will never forget the Liberte`,her fantastic Crew or the wonderful hospitality we found on board. We can only hope that the rest of our Marriage is as wonderful as this first week on Liberte` has been:Good sailing, great food, plenty to drink and, most important of all,Great People.
Once again,Thank you!
Michael and Jackie."
| | | | | The Brook's honeymoon | The crew was wonderfully prepared for us. The devoted just the right amount of time to us while still giving us the privacy that a honeymoon requires. The food Sandy cooked was absolutely wonder - it was amazing that she was able to prepare wonderful meals in that tiny kitchen!! It was amazing that so many foods we liked were seved when filled out such a vague preference form. Jacque was wonderful at his job and he really brought life and entertaiment at appropriate times to an otherwise wonderfully laid back boat. Gordon was the best. Only he could bring peace of mind about operation of the boat to my obsessive-complusive sailing husband. Thanks Gordo, our honeymoon was laid back and relaxed.
We have truly found new friends on board the Liberte. We are counting the days and pennies until we can go back! | | | | | Beuzelin charter | " Dear Gordon, Sandie and Jacque,
