Captain Susan Burleigh grew up in Missouri, and she fell in love with sailing after doing a week's charter in the Caribbean. Susan initially sailed local lakes in Missouri and after that returned to sail the Caribbean waters. She joined the team of 10 female crew with "Lipstick" as Navigator and Tactician for the Heineken Regatta in St Maarten, and they won that year! Susan also became the Navigator for Lone Fox a 1957 Classic Yacht famous for many of the Classic and Sailing Regattas in the Caribbean.
Susan bought her first 36' yacht fifteen years ago in the mid west and three years ago purchased Nerissa.
Susan has always been an active lady, as apart from sailing, she's a Licensed CRNA (anasthesia) as well as raising her family and is now the proud grandparent of her first grandchild!
Susan has done three offshore deliveries on Nerissa and has sailed from Maine, New England to Grenada in the Caribbean, and spent the majority of her time in St Maarten and St Barths.

Captain Oscar Kevin Kuhn - otherwise known as "Curly" was born in Virginia and holds a Masters in Business Administration. He has been sailing since 1977. Curly was a yacht broker in California for 15 years and has sailed the East and West Coasts of the US, as well as Mexico, Panama, and the Caribbean Islands. Curly has chartered with political and famous celebrities, including in 2008 with Chef Elton Brown for a 6 week TV program on the Food Network channel, based on Caribbean Island cooking. Curly has well over 150,000 miles sea time under his belt. He owns his own 43' sailing yacht which he has lived on for many years. Curly's claim to fame was winning the Admirals Cup in 1979.
