Number of Crew: 2
Crew Profiles:

Eric Stahl hails from Boulder Colorado, where he learned to sail on racing scows and J-boats in the high altitude lakes of Colorado and has won numerous regattas driving a variety of different designs, from the West coast to the East coast. He moved to San Diego CA and taught sailing at America’s top-rated sailing school, J-World. After excelling in Southern California, he moved to Annapolis MD and continued coaching at the local J-World franchise, where he received honors as the highest rated sailing instructor, based on customer evaluations. Eric has taught and coached hundreds of students of various abilities, ranging from learn to sail students, to highly competitive racing teams. His résumé speaks for itself, and you can rest assured that you’ll be onboard a yacht with a true sailor and an excellent instructor. who will be happy to sail you around the Sir Frances Drake Channel himself, or teach you a few tricks and let you do the sailing yourself—he’d love that too. Eric’s other passions include skiing (he taught skiing for a season in Winter Park, CO, and is an accomplished telemark, downhill, and backcountry skier), surfing, fly fishing, and traveling, and one of his goals is to sail around the world. Eric is also an experienced and creative bartender…you’re glass will be continually full of very tasty, and usually very strong drinks from Bombay sapphire martinis to fresh pineapple daiquiris with Cruzan rum. Be prepared to have an unforgettable and ideal sailing vacation experience!

Jacque Stahl was born and raised in Annapolis Maryland where, from a very young age, she’s been crabbing and fishing on the Severn River, and cooking up her catch. She learned to sail on the Chesapeake Bay and teamed up with Eric in racing M-20’s in Colorado where they won a first place regatta trophy! Jacque and Eric have truly become locals here in the Virgin Islands, and got married on Virgin Gorda with all their friends and family present last May. Jacque’s an accomplished chef, and has trained at the famed L’Academie De Cuisine in Washington DC, where she placed special emphasis on preparing fish and shellfish. Like Eric, she loves to fish, and it makes her day to be able to fillet a ‘catch of the day’ off the back of the boat and prepare a sushi appetizer, and a dinner of grilled fish and fresh vegetables for her guests—it doesn’t get any fresher or better than that! Her real specialty is baking (due to her ridiculous sweet tooth) and she has a great time making succulent cakes, tartlets, custards and pies for everyone to enjoy-and divulging a some of her baking secrets.
Jacque has been a lover of the Caribbean since she and her family vacationed and learned to SCUBA dive here when she was young. She has kept up with the family’s diving tradition and is a certified Rescue Diver and Dive Master and loves to show off the underwater wonders of the Virgin Islands to her guests either SCUBA diving or snorkeling.

Join Eric and Jacque for an active yet relaxing week sailing the Virgin Islands.
