Captain Myles Nowek originates from British Columbia, Canada. Born in June 1975 he is a very motivated and straight forward man who believes anything is possible.
At the age of 20 Myles decided to chase his dream and became an Open Water Dive Instructor. He left Canada to move to the warmer waters and climate of Bonaire. Moving to the Cayman Islands he qualified as a Yacht Captain, and then worked at Club Med in the Bahamas, and later for several years in the Turks & Caicos. Myles also spent some time in Greece teaching Diving in the Med. Returning to the Caribbean in 2002 he became a SHARK FEEDER in St.Maarten. Around this time he decided to chase a decade old dream of getting his own boat and opening his own yacht charter business. To achieve this he worked aboard a Cruise liner, where he fell in love and married Eliza, who originates from Romania. Myles also had a spell in the oil fields as a “rough neck” to save money to chase the dream. In those lonely hours he studied Art History and was able to return to the the Cruise lines as an Art Director. Myles & Eliza now have a beautiful little boy “Sharky” – that’s his real name and he is now approaching the age of 3. After 2 years as Art Directors they relocated back to St.Maarten and continued on with the Dream and finally “Top Secret” became a reality in December 2008.
His words and stories are fun and exciting, his ambition and dedication to success is very much apparent in his company, attitude and mannerism.
We all have Dreams, unfortunately not all of us chase them…and this is a shame as most dreams are not as far out of reach as we think!
Mate Eliza Nowek was born in Romania and her initial career was in the hotel industry as a receptionist. Eliza always loved to travel so decided to join a Cruise Ship as a Bar Waiter, which gave her an opportunity to travel to East and West Caribbean, Hawaii, Canada and the West Coast. Eliza actually met her husband Myles on the Cruise Ship and together they pursued their dream of owning their own charter yacht. Apart from looking after their little boy, Eliza loves cooking, music, dancing and travel. |
