Co-Captain, Chef and First Mate Kelly:
Kelly also shares the love of the water and her dream to cruise the oceans and see the world aboard a sailboat started over 20 years ago, while walking the docks in St. Vincent and happening upon a woman who owned a sailboat that she chartered. After a little bartering she and her friend were off for the adventure of a lifetime or in this case a week sailing the waters off St. Vincent and the Grenadines. As they say, "the rest is history" except for some required business ventures in between. Before setting off on the current adventure, Kelly had many passions... She became a PADI Dive Instructor and taught for a few years in Florida. She then fell back into her passion for horses and became partners in a Hunter Jumper horse farm in Atlanta Ga. She spent 5 years running the business and showing her horse Tucker with many ribbons (and a few cash rewards), which are now tucked in a trunk somewhere. Kelly holds a 100 ton Masters USCG captains license and is STCW 95 certified she is trained in marine fire fighting, safety, rescue and first aid. Kelly loves entertaining aboard Verna Breeze and enjoys cooking delightfully tasty meals. Sometimes it’s a surprise but it is always excellent! She also loves puzzles, games, kayaking, snorkeling, water Skiing, and quiet time reading a book in the cockpit or on a lovely beach. She would love to share the island sailing adventure that she was able ti find while walking down the dock that eventful in St. Vincent. Who knows, maybe she will see you anchored next to Verna Breeze in your own boat one day soon. | | |
