Born in England in 1971, Evan spent most of his formative years in the vibrant city of Athens, Greece. With an extensive background in offshore sailing events dating back to 2001, Evan has evolved into an accomplished Offshore Sailing Instructor, steering various sailing vessels across the waters of Greece. His maritime journey includes captaining ships of diverse sizes, ranging from 38 feet to an impressive 147 feet. Evan's sailing prowess extends to participation in esteemed events such as the World Championship, the Middle Sea, and the Aegean Rallies. Accumulating over 40,000 nautical miles of expertise, his sociable and talkative nature ensures that guests are in for an exceptional sailing experience. A firm believer in the mantra "Safety first!" Evan combines his genuine love for the ocean with a deep passion for sailing. Beyond the helm, he finds joy in cooking and immersing himself in the water, showcasing a well-rounded affinity for maritime living. Fluent in both Greek and English, Evan effortlessly communicates with guests, fostering an inclusive and enjoyable atmosphere on board. Chef: Argyris Aleiferis
Argyrios Aleiferis is an experienced culinary professional with over 14 years of expertise in fine dining, luxury hospitality, and high-end kitchen operations. Trained in both classical and modern culinary techniques, he has worked in Michelin-starred and Michelin-listed restaurants, boutique hotels, and prestigious hospitality venues in Greece and the United Kingdom, developing a strong foundation in quality-driven, guest-focused cuisine.
With extensive experience in kitchen leadership, menu development, and service execution, Argyrios brings a disciplined yet creative approach to culinary operations. His background also includes wine and beverage expertise, allowing him to enhance the overall dining experience through thoughtful food and wine pairings, as well as an ability to adapt menus to diverse tastes and dietary requirements. Specializing in modern Mediterranean and Greek cuisine, Argyrios is committed to delivering refined, personalised gastronomic experiences with consistency, discretion, and attention to detail. Fluent in Greek and English, he communicates effectively with international guests and crew, contributing positively to onboard service standards and team dynamics.
Steward: Michael Argyros-Amerikanos
Born in Athens in 1997, Michael embarked on his professional journey after studying at the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science at Democritus University of Thraki, successfully graduating in 2019. Michael's yachting career commenced post-graduation, where he initially served as a deckhand on the Above & Beyond (Sunreef 80). His hands-on experience in this role positioned him perfectly for his current position on Alexandra II.
Known for his kindness, discretion, and keen attentiveness to guests' needs, Michael seamlessly transitioned to his steward role. His dedication to providing excellent service is evident in his approach, making every effort to ensure the comfort and satisfaction of those on board. Fluent in both English (his native language) and Greek, Michael communicates effortlessly with guests, enhancing their overall experience and contributing to the welcoming atmosphere aboard Alexandra II. With a genuine commitment to hospitality, Michael is a valuable member of the crew dedicated to making every guest's journey enjoyable and memorable.

Deckhand: Henry Eilers
Henry, born in Bulgaria in 2000 and a resident of Greece since 2014, is a unique blend of Belgian and Bulgarian heritage. In November 2019, Henry completed his Sailing Certificate of Competency by IYT, marking the initiation of his career as a deckhand on various boats. He has been studying for the past 3 years under the guidance of Captain Evan, onboard Alexandra II, pursuing the goal of eventually becoming a captain himself. In March 2026, he completed his formal education from the Royal Yachting Association, earning the designation of Yachtmaster Offshore for vessels up to 200GT. Beyond being fluent in Bulgarian, Greek, and English, he impressively communicates in Spanish, Russian, French and several other languages. Driven by an ambitious goal, he aspires to become fluent in more than ten languages by the age of 30. Known for his reliability, strong work ethic, linguistic versatility and cultural adaptability, Henry consistently fosters a pleasant environment, where everyone feels at ease.

Meghan, I thought I'd brag on our crew a bit - they worked seamlessly together! Somehow they were aware of our needs without ever feeling they were hovering overhead.
Michael did a great job of bringing us our water bottles wherever we were, knowing that we should stay hydrated. Yes, he had all our drinks down within 24 hours and surprised us with lots of new things to try. I really appreciated his fresh ginger lemonade specialty when feeling a tad queasy on a rough day. Even more impressed when I told Thad I was going to the restroom in the cabin on a very rocky day. Michael said, “Let's go together, Ma'am,” and waited outside for me to return so he could keep me steady. Always smiling and with one hand behind his back. He even served me cocktails while I was in the sea.
Henry was so good to us, mainly setting up and instructing us with water toys. When we commented on the current while swimming in the sea, he kept eyes on us and put out a long rope we could stay within. One passenger was a strong swimmer who swam long distances to shore and back.
Henry kept his eyes on him and once took out the dinghy to check on him. Henry encouraged us to have a little adventure. When I unsuccessfully tied a rope to my swim shoes, he gave me about 20 minutes of lessons. He took photos of us from the dinghy swimming in caves and greeting goats, etc. Even offering bottled water while we were out with him and in the sea. Somehow he was quiet but always around if needed.
Argy made sure we tried all the Greek foods and experienced new things. Everything was outstanding and so healthy. Argy and Michael went to stand in line for a couple of hours for us at O! Hamos! restaurant the Captain recommended. They don't take reservations and it's very popular. Argy walked us through the extensive menu and helped us with recommendations. We would have loved for them to stay and eat with us, but of course they politely declined. We encouraged Argy to create a cookbook because we wanted all his recipes. I know what a carob rusk is now and after leaving the ship feel really comfortable knowing what most things are on menus. Who knew I'd like rooster and goat! He really enriched our experience and taste buds!
The Captain certainly knew the seas, and we appreciate him altering our schedule one day due to weather conditions. At times he brought a map to show us in detail the bays we'd stay in. The other crew took care of everything so he could attend to his sailing. He certainly had connections on the islands and we always had a nice van available to take us around. He was easy to communicate with using WhatsApp when we were ready to return to the ship, etc.
